IIT JEE 2011 Paper -1 :

The first paper consisted of a total of 69 problems containing a total weightage of 240 marks. The paper was designed with this order of subjects : Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Each subject consisted of equal questions out of 69, so there were 23 problems meant for each section.

IIT-JEE Paper 2 :

The paper 2 of the IIT-JEE 2011, consisted of a total of 60 questions covering a total weightage of 240 marks. The order of subjects was same as that of the 1st paper : Chemistry, Physics and Maths. Total 60 questions were equally divided into three subjects, containing 20 questions each.

IIT JEE 2011 Cut off and Expected Rank Analysis :

The IIT JEE 2011 paper has just ended and me along with my friend of IIT’s, NIT’s and IIT JEE experts have done a detailed analysis of the paper. Thus we came to the under-given rank prediction and estimated cutoff for IIT-JEE 2011. The chemistry part of the paper was as always the simplest of all, the physics was likewise not too difficult, maths included several challenging problems however for those who have studied extensively for the examination, they could be solved with some efforts. Paper 2 of JEE 2011 was relatively tough…but overall the paper was easy as compared to 2010! Straight forward questions,Direct formula based applications ensures that cutoff will be increased by 5-10 marks, this could have increased further but unfortunately, there was no partial marking this time in multiple option correct questions. Based on an expert analysis of the paper and the difficulty level, it is expected that the cutoff for the IIT-JEE 2011 will be 5-10 marks higher than that of the cut off for the last year JEE. The estimated cutoff should be around 197-202 marks. The estimated rank prediction for IIT-JEE 2011 is given below :

Predicted IIT JEE 2011 rank
